A movable roof is covering the entire performing space of the former horse riding school (Felsenreitschule) at Salzburg Festival. It is designed to work as part of the stage machinery. Within five minutes it becomes possible to transform the indoor performing space into an open-air situation. As a ‘Giant Instrument’ structure it is designed to work as part of the scenic performance.
The project is an internationally invited competition entry, ranking second place.
